Corona Virus Information

It goes without saying that this is an unprecedented time in our country's history and most certainly a time when the future of our country and our God-given freedoms are in the gravest danger imaginable. I am not at a point where I have made up my mind as to what is really going on with this Corona Virus situation but I have encountered some compelling information all across the spectrum.

I thought it would be valuable to share with you the information I have encountered so that you can make a more informed decision as to how together we can minimize illness and death for our fellow Americans yet also preserve life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for our country and keep our country as blessed, free and prosperous as possible in the years to come.

Is The Virus Much Less Deadly Than Hyped By Media & Government?

- (This is an update of the AgentForTruth.com post just below due to extraordinary development of Youtube banning the videos providing this information.) On April 22nd, 2020, ABC affiliate Channel 23 in Bakersfield California (Kern County) broadcasted a portion of press conference held by Accelerated Urgent Care owners Dr. Dan Erickson and Dr. Artin Massihi who recommended lifting shelter-in-place orders and explained in detail why they arrived at such a conclusion. Kern County Public Health Services was later questioned about the presentation made by these doctors but the health department's response arguably did little to rebut the COVID-19 facts Dr. Erickson and Dr. Massihi presented. The highly informative press conference in its entirety was uploaded to YouTube on various Youtube channels and had received millions of views. Within hours of Laura Ingraham featuring Dr. Erickson and Dr. Massihi on her April 27th, 2020 show (beginning at 6:20 mark), YouTube banned the doctors' press conference videos. YouTube is notorious for banning videos containing factual information about which it prefers the public to remain ignorant. Thankfully, alternative video platforms that are capable of bypassing YouTube's censorship of free speech have sprung up so that vital information can still be shared with the public. The public would be wise to be very suspicious of internet platforms that censor information preventing the public from making up their own minds. - On April 20th, 2020, the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) released preliminary results from a collaborative scientific study that suggested infections from the new coronavirus are far more widespread - and the fatality rate much lower - in L.A. County than previously thought. Based on results of the first round of testing, the research team estimates that approximately 4.1% of the county's adult population has antibody to the virus. Adjusting this estimate for statistical margin of error implies about 2.8% to 5.6% of the county's adult population has antibody to the virus- which translates to approximately 221,000 to 442,000 adults in the county who have had the infection. That estimate is 28 to 55 times higher than the 7,994 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported to the county by the time of the study in early April.

- Keep in perspective that California has a population of about 39.5 million people. In 2017, California had 62,797 deaths from heart disease, 59,516 deaths from cancer, 6,340 deaths from influenza/pneumonia and 4,868 deaths from drug overdose. The entire state of California had 1,268 COVID-19 related deaths as of April 21st, 2020 (latest figures here) and 868 of those deaths (68.45%) were in 3 southern California counties (out of a total of 54 California counties). A virtual shutdown of all work and life activities throughout California for weeks and even months is warranted for this?

- Of 6,570 confirmed COVID-19 deaths in New York City fully investigated for underlying conditions through April 18th, 2020, 6,520 (99.2%) had an underlying illness such as Diabetes, Lung Disease, Cancer, Immunodeficiency, Heart Disease, Hypertension, Asthma, Kidney Disease, GI/Liver Disease, and Obesity. Why are hundreds of thousands of perfectly healthy New Yorkers ordered to stay inside week after week after week, losing their businesses and jobs and eventually losing the ability to afford to eat and keep a roof over their head?

- On April 11th, 2020 Stanford issued a report on an antibody study conducted for Santa Clara County, California and found that 48,000 to 81,000 Santa Clara County residents had been infected by COVID-19 by early April, 2020. Taking the 94 deaths in Santa Clara County as of April 22nd, 2020 and dividing by the range of those infected per the Stanford study, the death rate is from 1/10 of 1 percent (94 divided by 81,000) to 2/10 of one percent (94 divided by 48,000). Dr. Scott Atlas, former Chief of Neuroradiology at Stanford University Medical Center, points out in his recent commentary that these death rates are 20 to 30 times lower than the World Health Organization estimates that motivated the mass isolation policies in the first place and medical care is proving to not even be necessary for the vast majority of people who are infected with COVID-19.

Are Corona Safety Measures Really About Enhancing Your Health?

- Worldwide Corona Virus deaths as of April 6th, 2020 were 72,638 (latest totals here) and U.S. Deaths were 10,372 (latest totals here ). Virtually all economic activity and human contact has been shut down or severely limited due to this level of deaths. Compare to other pandemics/epidemics in the past as summarized below.

- Up to 650,000 deaths per year are associated with respiratory diseases resulting from seasonal influenza ("flu") as estimated by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization. In the past has the U.S.A. and nations around the world ever shut down virtually all economic activity and human contact due to this level of deaths? No.

- The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ("CDC") estimates 151,700 to 575,400 worldwide deaths and 12,469 U.S. deaths resulted from the 2009 "H1N1" flu pandemic. In and around 2009 did the U.S.A. and nations around the world shut down virtually all economic activity and human contact due to this level of deaths? No.

- In California, for example, as of April 19th, 2020 6,340 people were reported to have died from Influenza/Pneumonia in 2017. As of April 19th, 2020, California reportedly had 1,166 deaths from COVID-19. Were tens of millions of Californians forced out of their workplaces for weeks and weeks in 2017? No.
